Half Groundhog Day today, as
only 2L EP IV timetabled, with expected discharge from cycle 1 at 6pm this evening.
Wandered downstairs to see specialist
Nurse for review – seems that last CT was clear, but HCG levels indicative of a
lot of activity. On the plus side, chemo now loads the probability that no
further surgery will be required later – good job too, as ‘Plan B’ (on back of
pamphlet below) left lying around reception failed to provide any contact
details (in this world, or the next).
So, how’s it been? Well,
Ward 61 staff are in a word, brilliant. The nurses do 12+ hour shifts and for
sure, go way beyond the call of duty. These ladies also score big on the humour
element essential to an oncology ward; even this blog’s questionable wit got
the thumbs up. Er, right then, let’s see this month’s Charles’ Angel…..
Now, who would have honestly guessed
what Jennifer Lawrence does in her spare time?
Next month we hope to get
Destiny’s Child (well, Beyonce has already given it the nod).
Memo to God:
information/contact details please!
Memo to paparazzi: Outside
The Ivy again? – you guys are napping: the real stars work on haematology &
oncology wards.
