Day 31 - Consolidated Medical Update

So, 31 days in……….

Here's the '1 month in' heads up:

1. Perpetual 'hangover' type headache - can't get rid of the damn thing (although bizarrely a couple of glasses of red make it more bearable)
2. Cognitive processing speed well down, short-term memory shot, recall takes time, inability to focus on more than one thing at one time (AKA A-typical male Autism, but on steroids)
3. Omnipresent tinnitus - that noise you get taking off/landing (even when you aren't). interspersed with the 'popping' that divers get when equalising pressure. High pitched noises are however physically painful
4. Nausea - not 'sickness' but a generally queasy feeling that gets worse the more anti-sickness (Domperidone) pills are taken. Appetite variable. Weight up and down
5. Constipation. Would be lovely to have proper poo. Lactulose can cause nausea. Suppositories just simply not British
6. Peripheral neuropathy affecting fingers, hands and face (in that order). Fingers positively Reynaud's sometimes (white and cold, no sensation)
7. Fatigue - awful for 4/5 days post chemo cycle, then improves a bit. But cannot sleep more than 3/4 hours at a time (even with the Zopliclone, used only twice now)
8. Hair - all gone upstairs and downstairs, but hanging on in there everywhere else
9. Mouth - sore, white gums, little taste functionality
10. Other side effects - occasional debilitating muscular pain (mainly in the back), nasty rash developing on left side of head (Axel needs to sort that one out next time)

On the plus side:

1. Still alive?

2. Humour still intact?

3. It's stopped raining?
