Kurt has been snapped up by a
pair of local agricultural mechanics as a doer-upper project! Some say that
this is good news, but already there’s a problem, as he’s disappeared with the
1980’s ‘Various’ disco compilation in the CD player together with The Matrix mirrored sunglasses; both of
which ensured retro-cool anonymity behind the wheel.
Trip
down Memory Lane anyone? Surely you
all remember those lovable 1970’s characters from The Magic Roundabout?
Well,
Brian the Snail has been reborn in
the form of a Ford Fiesta 1.25 Style, acquired for the purpose of
(a) Liv and Ed driving (b) on the road (c) legally (d) not in a death-trap
older than them (sorry Kurt) (e)
something more in line with your correspondent’s current driving
ability/speed/reaction times.
Brian sports a shiny red shell
like his namesake, and that’s not all they have in common; with a woefully
underpowered 60hp engine, 0-60 is dispatched in um, er, 17 seconds, and with a top
speed of, hmm, 94mph (eventually, downhill somewhere I guess) it’s not hard to figure
out why Brian is what he’s called.
